Hiring Sullivan is a great move, but several more moves need to be made. Hopefully he'll have some positive input with Drury's decisions
well atleast teams wont have to worry about rempe taking peoples heads off he wont get any ice time with sullivan behind the bench lol
The biggest issue with NYR is simple. They are totally reliant on Igor. If anything happens to him, the NYR could easily be a lottery team.
Carey Price, Thatcher Demko, NYI Sorokin, Swayman, lots of Vezina GTs suddenly stop being Vezina GTs. Especially if you overwork them.
High reward, High risk.
Also, I wonder if Drury actually just hired his replacement?

Great Video, as usual, Mike. I think that this is A Great Hire by The Rangers & Chris Drury (this is one of the reasons that I won't condemn Chris Drury).
If Mike Sullivan doesn't turn things around next season, I think that these guys are going to be going.
If Torts comes in as Sully's assistant, it will be role reversal from the last time they were both here.
Team will go nowhere until Mika leaves. He is a cancer on this team. It hurts me to say that because he used to be my favorite Ranger player.

If Zibanisbad and Kreidbaby are still on the team next year, then it doesn't matter who the coach is. They'll continue to ignore coaching and make stupid East West passes anyway, and Sullivan will also get fired.

Most likely Matt Rempe lost his job. Sullivan only plays guys that will not play either toughness.
Turn around won’t happen over night. Will take at least 3 years.

A great hire, Sullivan did an outstanding job in Pittsburgh, the General Managers that was their, didn't give him any good players to balance out the team' Jarry is not a starting goalie, trading Jake away was the start of the downfall. He will do well in New York, the Ranger's fans will enjoy this coach. Good luck Sully, and prayers for the Pens.

And if the "core" doesn't change, then Sully will be gone in 2 years too
Is it a good move? He won in Pittsburgh because he had a few HOF players, the Rangers don’t have them. This core has already ran out some very good coaches.
