Pathetic. Absolutely embarrassing. Cursed. Leaf fans suffer, pay their salaries and get lacklustre performances in return. We go home frustrated, they go home to their mansions. I’m done. 50 years, thousands of dollars and thousands of hours spent on a team that needs an exorcism. Screw them.

Leafs were gripping their sticks in the 1st as well. They got lots of chances and almost converted many times….ALMOST….because they were tight. Worst pressure performing team in sports history. Hands down.

So much money involved who is to say both teams didn't agree to take it to a game 7 ? For stakeholders or whatever reason. I have never seen a playoff game before were there were hardly any net battles. It was very weird man. One obvious thing happening id Ottawa is covering high preventing there d from shooting which is opening the slot up abit but I never seen the leafs adjust to that at all. You have Stolarz creating most scoring chances for them. You have a team for 4 games who did not look nervous at all. Played like an experienced team. Strong on the boards and then tonight polor opposites. I'm not buying that Ottawa is too good for them. It is what it is .

Sam is right. Even if the Leafs win this series… many Leafs fans lost confidence in this team being different and going on a deep run this year.
Two plays I don’t understand.
Wasting time by blasting up the ice on the power play, and then dropping it back, the exact same thing every time. 25-30 seconds wasted and the other team knows exactly what you’re going to do. Because you do it every single power play. Mix it up. Insert some randomness and quit trying to force plays because it looks good on the board. If you study and make the same plays, the other team is bound to know what you’re doing.
2. Why is the left hand defenceman so far over on offensive zone draws? Move in closer to the centre of the draw! I don’t even understand why they put a right winger on the boards there. I don’t know if it’s a rule that every forward has to be on the circle, but I’d have three guys back behind the centre man waiting for that draw.

I don't blame the core four… as the opponent is focusing on them. The issue is the support runs by the rest of the team does not exist. This is why you don't tie up half your team cap into four players. If you dont have three lines that can threaten, you are an easy target.
It's good to know there are still a few things we can count on in this day in age where so many things are chaotic and unpredictable…

At least you are not a Devils fan right now. Our team blew a 3-0 lead and saw the refs call bs penalties all night against us that lead to three goals including the OT winner. It is much easier to lose 10-0 with no controversy than to lose how we just did. I know Leafs fans know painful losses for sure so I assume you know how I feel right now. The what ifs will be there forever with this playoff series vs the Canes.
If you listen to the post game interviews they just seemed to shrug it off and talk about what a great first period they had. No anger no passion just "oh well."
