The entire world was watching. All the Oilers fan base was clenching for that comeback. We were preparing for overtime. Then before you know it, we hear the horn. And all that built up air… farted out as the fan base realized. Stewart Skinner let in a weak soft goal. And the entire Oiler fan base deflated and defeated. Peak Oilers
Ah my fellow hockey buddies…. I was grinning from ear to ear when the Kings were up 4-0, then I switched to the Aves game followed by some laundry. I eventually switched back to the Kings/Oilers game and that grin disappeared. Within a couple minutes of watching the game I see McDavid tie it up… yikes. Thankfully the grin came back thanks to the Kings goal with less than a minute left. But even though the Oilers lost, I still can’t argue that McDavid is deadly in those highly tense moments.
FYI.. not an Oilers fan, they’re my LEAST favorite Canadian team, with the Leafs a decently distant second…

Almost georgiev in game 1 level bad for skinner
I really expected the Kings to win the first game of this series so I was excited with how close we got to almost winning it. After having all that momentum to crap the bed at the end there really sucked. I especially feel for McDavid. But it is hard to expect your offence to outscore the difference when down by 4. This was a very Oilers game thru and thru with these highs and lows. That being said with how hard McDrai is playing, if we can clean some things up I can see us taking this series. It really comes down to Skinner and the defence here. Hoping we come back big for game 2!
Kings are taking round 1, you can’t rely on McDavid for every goal without him getting burnt out. He had 3 primary assists and a goal. He did everything for the oilers tonight.
