The Edmonton Oilers earned their second consecutive victory by battling their way to a 4-2 victory over the Nashville Predators in the first game of a two-game road trip on Thursday night at Bridgestone Arena. Defenceman Brett Kulak scored a pair of goals, including an empty-netter, while Connor McDavid notched his first goal of the season and the game-winner late in the middle frame to set the Blue & Orange up to lock it down defensively in the final 20 minutes of regulation. #oilers #edmontonoilers #nhl

Good win today. If the pp stays cold I think they should consider using Rico in the bumper position. He’s sure handed enough with a good shot as well. Nuge is a black hole right now. Hope he can get his game going.

"The Oilers played a fantastic game". Finally something very positive with respect to the Oilers this season. Getting kinda depressed hearing how bad our start has been. Now let's see if we can win against a team having a better start????
They did play a lot better. But Nashville is also a 0-4. I'd love to see them bring the same game against a better team.
I'm happy with the Brown/Henrique/Skinner line up.
I honestly don't know why the 3rd line isn't moved up to 2nd.
So far it seems like the 1st and 3rd line are the major force of the team right now. Having the 3rd line get more ice time would actually help a lot.
But maybe the big bad knob knows best afterall
