F*ck no. Skinner is a sieve. He gets exposed when team defence fails him. Good goalies battle through tough stretches and mediocre goalies get exposed on bad stretches and that is Stuart Skinner mediocre at best. He’s a system goalie. He can win games when team defence shows up, he can’t do anything on his own.
If the Oilers had a true number one goalie last year they would’ve won a cup and no they won’t win this year without one. It’s the time of the year when good goalies become great. Stealing the show and stealing games. Every team who wins the stanly cup has a goalie who’s unbelievable. History proves it!!
not really his fault- he is pd as a #2 goalie $2.6m. The issue is EDM Mgt pd J.Campbell $25mil to not play – & sit on a beach. He could get hot – but odds against. But EDM Def not good… shipped Broberg out…. & hired $1m guys… & hi risk bet on Bouchard is a joke. Pretending Hyman/RNH are #3 & #4 are stars… 20pts even strength… & few stepping up on D. All MGT hires were fails (Henrique, Skinner, Arvidsson, Janmark, Dermott, J.Brown etc – shipping out Holoway, Broberg, McLeod)- so that is a problem – and McD is just +1….. not sure MGT can recover from all of this……
The Oilers screwed themselves the second they signed Nurse for $9 million. He's worth half that at best. Imagine the goaltending they could buy with that extra money
The guy in the middle is why the Oilers will not make it past the 1st Round…. he blatantly with no support or evidence repeatedly blames other Players ,multiple ones bsically the entire Team for Skinners poor play, its a pitiful perspective, so be it. Everyones got to remember that if Pickard didnt get the Oilers past the Canucks the Oilers would of been put out cause Skinner could not win against them. So its more credit to Puckard that he doesnt always get.
