It's not over with him. He has to learn how to play with a defense that has holes. I give him the off season to adjust and next season then I will say he is washed up if his play doesn't get better. I just have PTSD when the Bruins had Blain Lacher. One year and out. The only problem is Swayman is worth 8mil a year. Time will tell.
It's weird cause I can't tell if it's more on sway or more on the defense letting him down. It's definitely a little of both, but I'm leaning more towards sway having a pretty bad down year (which is worse of the two options). You can work on the defense in the off-season, but goaltending… well ig you're just gonna have to hope sway turns it up a notch next year.
I said it when it happened and I will say it again, in any profession or relationship for that matter, if someone uses the phrase " I've educated myself"… RUN, Run like the wind, because that someone thinks way too highly of themselves and that always sets them up for failure.
So many doomers on different platforms yelling for a total rebuild has me laughing

I've been expecting this since they choked in 2023. That was their "Last Dance". Bergeron & David Krejčí retiring was the beginning of the end for the team.
Last year they just managed to barely squeak out a decent season, just to lose in the 2nd round.
This year it finally all came crashing down.
But it is for the best. That corte was getting too old and The Bruins would have been in a worse position if they tried to be buyers instead of sellers. Another year or 2 & I think they can bounce back and be in contention again.
