🧡 Flyers John Tortorella Heartfelt Message Before Trading Scott Laughton to Toronto Maple Leafs

“Our relationship will always be our relationship and that will never go away. At the end of the day when you’re done coaching or playing those are the most important things. That’s going to be a guy that I truly respect and love.”

Flyers HC John Tortorella on Trading Scott Laughton to Toronto Maple Leafs says the rumors have been weighing on him.

Flyers acquired forward Nikita Grebenkin and a first round pick in the 2027 NHL Draft from the #Toronto #MapleLeafs, in exchange for forward Scott Laughton, a fourth round pick in 2025 and a sixth round pick in 2027.

Philadelphia also acquired a third round pick in the 2027 NHL Draft from the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for Andrei Kuzmenko and a seventh round draft pick in 2025.

  1. We love you Laughton it's a rebuild man 😭! Welcome home 🇨🇦. I may be Canadian but Go Flyers Go! 🖤💛

  2. I really hoped flyers would have traded YORK..the last 2 games were embarrassing, rumor has it york is looking for north of 7 mil$ hes not worth half that

  3. Scott Laughton is a great man and a true hockey guy. I’m a Flyers fan since 1970. I’ve seen them come and go. Much like Claude Giroux he was here during the worst 10-12 years in Flyers history. They are doing all a fan can ask in the salary cap era, getting the payroll lean and getting younger with plenty of higher end draft picks. Developement is the key going forward.

  4. I have been critical of Laughton since hes been a flyer. that being said, I know hes a glue guy in the room and a leader.

  5. I'm excited to be able to watch you make a run for the cup with a team that has a REAL chance!!
Crazy sorry to see you go🫤

  6. Scott is coming Home, If he couldn’t be in Philly then he is in the second best place for him. Toronto will take care of him and thanks Philly for taking care of him

  7. I can't wait to see Laughton suit up for Toronto. If management in Philly gives Grebenkin a chance to play, Flyer fans are going to love him. Jeff O'Neill called him the 4th Hanson Brother. He's goofy, rambunctious, and he can play. He quickly became a fan favorite in Toronto, as he will in Philly.
