Sunday, Florida led 2-0 on Verhaeghe’s first two goals before the Islanders scored three straight.

Evan Rodrigues tied it, Sam Reinhart gave the Panthers the lead back going into the third where Verhaeghe and Matthew Tkachuk each scored.

Spencer Knight had 30 saves.

The Panthers kick off a two-game road trip Tuesday in Washington.
