  1. I'm from Vancouver, and I've followed this team my entire life, but I think I'm done now. Horvat and Miller were my fav players I'm not impressed, but what the hell do I know..

  2. As a pens fan I think it’s a fair trade for both teams I never expected a first round pick would be a return for Petterson.

  3. What happened to the Petey that was so motivated and disciplined that over a summer he broke his shot down to 7 mechanical movements and practiced them in isolation extensively until he could string together a world class shot? Where did THAT drive go?

  4. If they sign new Petey, then it has a chance of being a good trade. Trading away a good prospect and a first rounder for a 30 game flash in the pan, is a big fail just like the Lindholm fail last year. I think the Pens fans are correct, looks like Trader Jim doesn't like first round picks except as trade bait. I guess it goes with the territory especially since ownership requires them to make the playoffs every year.

  5. Everyone forgets its hard to sign players in Canada because of tax reasons remember Big Z saved himself 3 mill by signing in USA , for tax reasons so nobody wants to play in Canada

  6. I’d like to thank the nucks for podzkolin, even though I’m not much a fan of the nucks, hope you guys get a good defence in petey…

Also no worries if you hop on that Oilers wagon if the nucks don’t make playoffs 😎

  7. Time will tell if M-Petey will work out for the Canucks considering how so many blueliners for the same team so far this season haven't.

  8. How many players named Pettersson do we have?

We should get a bunch more players named Pettersson. It would be easier for the play-by-play guys.

  9. If the Canucks were in a rebuild than that 1st round pick is extremely valuable but that is not the case, the Canucks are in a 'win now' phase where most of their core players are in their primes. 1st round picks aren't a guaranteed and besides the 2025 draft class is ok at best while the 2026 class is slightly better. Getting a player in M.Petey who by all accounts was going to be highly coveted during the trade deadline now and if the Canucks can re-sign him even better cause that pretty much sets up the Canucks d-groups top 6.

  10. Why would you trade a first round pick for a good D for half a season? He might not even sign with Canucks next season. Horrible trade if they don't resign him. Yeah, he's 2 or 3 D on Canucks because Canucks only have Hughes and somewhat Hronek.
