Game Story: This was an excellent game. The Washington Capitals (hashtag#ALLCAPS) were opportunistic against the Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation (hashtag#Flames) on Tuesday night. My four eyes see Logan Thompson as a Vezina candidate. Hart Memorial votes (or a win) wouldn’t be a shock either.

WSH Outlook: Outside of Connor Hellebuyck, it’s Logan Thompson as the best goalie in the NHL. He just signed a 6-year, 5.85 per right at $35.1 million. Just a perfect number. Does VGK regret not keeping him, or could they not afford it?

CGY Outlook: Despite the injuries to Mantha, Kirkland, Zary and Bahl this team still plugs away. Nothing outstanding in goal totals, yet it’s still about seven players with double-digits. Wolf is playing very well. Vladar isn’t. Responded after back-to-back losses to STL winning three of the next four. Split with WPG as Wolf shines and MIN. Games in hand. Can top ANA and DET. Will join on call for TOR and COL next week.
