  1. The Los Angeles Kings made a wise decision when they brought back there classic 1987-1997 "Kings plate" logo, modified with silver color. They look so good.
There plain black and white LA emblem of previous years I truly disliked. Of ALL logos the Kings have used, that was the WORST.

  2. Kings fan since 1973. If the Kings play the dirty Oil again they will lose. The Oilers are 8-2 vs Los Angeles in the playoffs. The Dirty Oil have had our number since 1985. Not even trading for Gretzky helped the Kings.

  3. Not sure they have what it takes to get another Cup, at least not yet. They look good now though and yes, Doughty coming back and maybe a better goaltender may be all they need

  4. kings fan here, this team does feel different than previous years, but we need to make a splash at the deadline, however i think kuemper is the man that should be between the pipes. our powerplay is the real dark spot right now, i think its a bottom 5 in the league. the kings really need a great 2nd or 3rd liner that can score. if our defense keeps playing the way it is kuemper should be fine, as seen with his avs cup run in 2022

  5. So what are we expecting out of the kings? They came out of the rebuilding 2 early. They have no superstars they’re not going to be good enough to beat the oilers in any playoff round ever. And once kopitars age catch’s up with him they probably won’t be good enough to make the playoffs.

  6. As a Kings fan, I understand why people question the goalie choices have been…..well, weird. But one thing people forget, is LA has been great on defense. And they help the goalie. No matter who is in net. And in return, the goalie helps the defense. I liked the pickup of Kuemper.I liked him, when he played the short time in LA in 18-19 season. I do think they keep picking up and dumping goalies is, they are waiting for Portillo to be NHL ready. This seasons team seems special. Now, if they could just learn to be better when playing on the road. That would be great.😂😂

  7. Darcy Kuemper has been phenomenal this season he hasn't allowed more than 1 goal in 5 straight games, and has a top 3 save percentage in the league idk why they would get rid of him he's been one of the teams strengths, and he's been a very solid goalie outside of last season when he had injuries

  8. One thing was addition by subtraction getting rid of PLD. The dude almost never played hard like he was afraid to get injured. I'm so glad he is gone. The addition of Foegele was phenomenal. He is a honey badger out there, taking no shift off. Edmunson and even Jeannot were good additions, although a bit costly as they brought some ruggedness and compete that the Kinga did not have enough of and Kuemper playing well after a trash start. As far as the left shot d, it could be helpful, but the way the Kings have been utilizing the left side is at a shut down role while the RD was more the jump in the play sort so I don't know if they will make that move. The biggest potential flaw is the play of Fiala. Although a tremendous talent, he does so much stuff where you just face palm. He has a no movement clause, so I doubt he gets traded, but they need to get him the right linemates. He is always having to be switched. Also, they are looking for a left wing for the top line. Right now, Turcotte has that slot, but they may make a move there and get a proper left winger. Who knows? It will likely be something nobody expected.

To add: the LD could be a need. Moverare has become more trusted but I don't know how they feel about him holding the 3LD spot going forward. I'm curios if they let him be the guy.

  9. Trading Keumper for Gibson would a downgrade tbh. Keumper has been solid this year and I think our tandem is actually fine but will be a question mark next season because Portillo is on the rise.

  10. I listened until I heard upgrade at the goaltender position..nope I’m done. Are you just another talking head like the NHL network? Just repeating what one bozzo said about 3 years ago?? That Kuemper is average. Do you say that about Jakob Markstrom. Probably not but you should look at their career statistics and who the better goaltender is. Kuemper’s ENTIRE career has been borderline great. Great.
