JAGs are the exception, not the rule.
They still need competent goaltending. I still think its good to have a goalie who can put up good save% and gaa. If you have a bad goalie and the team has no confidence in can really hurt the mentality of a team.

Hate to say it but Swayman is a Top 3 goalie and that’s what they’re getting paid. Have to bite the bullet but I blame Sweeney and Neely for trading Ullmark way too early. They lost all their leverage.

Swayman's career shows that he's the best back-up goalie in the NHL right now.
If he's smart, he'd take 3 years at $7M a year and use that time to PROVE that he's a $10M elite starting goalie.
If B's don't see the value at that point, maybe another team would.
Sounds like Swayman's a legend in his own mind. $10M for an above average – not elite level – player would suck the oxygen out of the room and set such a bad precedent.
With that said… Sweeney shoulda had Swayman signed before getting rid of Ullmark and if Swayman's deal couldn't be done, they should've let him walk and kept Ullmark.
Let Swayman sit it out. Felger is right about this.
