It’s tempting to believe Evander Kane, despite having not played a game, whether preseason or otherwise, since last postseason, will suddenly turn on a switch during the 2025 postseason assuming the Oilers qualify. Yet two seasons ago he had a lengthy injury stint and during the Oilers-Golden Knights playoff series only put up a single point, an assist. He may not be as effective this postseason as if he plays enough regular-season games just to get in the reps.

im not even gonna try and guess what the bowman/jackson massacre is gonna do with kane. based on history, i'm leaning that he will get traded.
