Saturday, the Panthers took an early 1-0 lead on a goal by Carter Verhaeghe off a pass from Anton Lundell; they led 2-1 going into the second on a goal by Aleksander Sasha Barkov.
But the Avs scored four to kick off the second and the Panthers never recovered.
Florida slo got goals from Sam Reinhart — he has 16 to lead the NHL and his 13-game scoring streak is second longest in franchise history — as well as one from Lundell.

Can't let most of your defense and expect to still be good.

Massive downgrade in defense this season vs last. Montour and OEL are just too big of holes to replace. Trade deadline may not even fix the problems. Bad defense makes the goalies look bad and vice versa.

Its good panthers showing some weakness, hoping zito will ship out some big payed forward. Verhaeghe would be good guy to move and get his salary free for buying some d or then just good old hockey trade.

That power play goal that was disallowed was someone at NHL HQ covering their bet on draft kings.
Not worried about the Panthers at this point. If anyone can figure things out, it is Paul Maurice.
