Arber Xhekaj Unsportsmanlike Conduct Penalty

This entire sequence is crazy when you see that only Xhekaj gets the penalty. Sean Couturier catches Kirby Dach center ice and Xhekaj wants revenge. Nick Seeler coming in hot to rescue his captain is also funny to watch

  1. What!??? ''I think they called it right!'' what an idiot comment. Can't beleive a commentator would say something like that. Shame.

  2. Tell me how xhekaj is the only one taking a penalty. How is there not at least a 3rd man in penalty on the flyers

  3. Coots did well to evade cleaning Dach’s clock there. If he doesn’t turn at the last second it’s a head-shot and this turns out to be an actual reason to want to start a fight. I know wifi probably felt like he was supposed to do something there, but he was about to fight a guy that’s not known to be cheap, for evading a head-shot that would have likely done significant damage to his teammate.
All that being said, the refs did mess this up. I can’t understand how no Flyer player was penalized.

  4. Xhekaj would have beaten couturier in a straight one on one fight, but as it stands this was nothing more than arber holding on to him until the gloves came off. If Xhekaj would have been punching I can see a penalty for the two guys, however I don't think couturier was trying to hit Dach in the head, he clipped him a little, just glad he isn't hurt.

  6. When your team only has one good player, I can understand being nervous for him to fight after a gutless check.

  7. That's what happens when you get a reputation around the league as a goon and a moron. Arber got caught because of his reputation and also because the situation could have been a lot worse. Good for the refs to keep control of the game even if they did miss a call. I'm willing to forgive them this time.

  8. Absolute bare minimum there you need to call Seeler as well to even it up. You can't have 2 guys with their gloves off and allow a 3rd guy to toss his gloves off and join in.

  9. If youre going to penalize the third guy, the fourth and fith guy also have to be. Not sure why the announcers dont know the rules.

  10. What a total joke the League has become !!! Couturier dropped his gloves and Seeler was 3rd man in !!!! Honestly the NHL is becoming a banana republic league wtf! Where is Don Cherry !!! Wokeism is alive and well in the NHL

  11. With Couts injury history, I don’t blame him for not wanting to fight or Seeler for jumping in to break it up. For what it’s worth, on the feed I watched you can clearly hear the ref tell WiFi to let him go and he didn’t. Probably why they called it the way they did.

  12. Really, at this point, there was nothing that happened enough even to call a penalty. Surprising that all were not called for dropping their gloves. Xhekaj is getting a reputation for losing it from time to time, but damn he is the only tough guy on Mtl. But not to worry, it seems like Habs don't want him there so he'll be traded soon from some rumors going around. If you actually notice the calls are really quarky and weak at times this year and the last few years.

  13. it is not Xhekaj's fault Couturier is a pussy…Couturier did the same upper back hit to the face on two habs…even i know how to do an upper back hit without using the shoulder…The HNL is a joke

  14. 3rd man in penalty missed. I don't blame Xhekaj. Policing the game. Couturier did it on accident, but there's still consequences.
