The beast has been unleashed. The league is not ready.

The coach is usually the scapegoat, but in this case I’m not sure what else management could have provided him. Five years is enough time.

As long as Shanny is still around, nothing will change. They’ll probably sign Marner to 12×8 this summer.

Is this the start of the cull or the extent of it?

Who wants that job? Maybe reup that psycho Babcock?

  6. RyeToast92

Very good. Now get Marner outta there asap. Send him to San Jose or something

He’s gonna coach for Daddy Dubas.

There were definitely times where keefe was outcoached. He needed to go, BUT it only starts there. This team has to get out from under Marner, and or Tavares’ contract. We all know Mathews is untouchable, which with the amount of failure in past years, everyone should be on the table.

Canucks fan here; but I also followed and watched every leafs game this season (fiancé is leafs fan) just wanted to say I think Keefe really tried his best, especially near the end.

Speaking from experience, as we’ve seen this season with the Canucks; things can *really change fast* when you have confident/competent management and coaching staff.

This is a great step, hopefully it’s in the right direction! Never give up

The goalies did their part, the coach did what he could and in the end they had their best d-man giving away pucks, regular season top scorers who can’t clutch. That roster reminds so much of Sharks in their prime, totally unrecognisable team in the playoff even tho they had some solid runs against Dallas and Detroit

I don’t know why anybody would want to coach or play in Toronto. The fan base is rude, mean and completely out of control. The local media may be worse. I’m guessing most of the players are wishing that they were somewhere else

Damn dude, they were right there. I think they shoulda gave him another shot at it.

  13. Too bad hockey isn’t more like football or college sports. Pick a good coach and stick with him. Turnstile coaches sucks.

Longest reigning interim head coach ever … he fleeced that organization prob brought the core 4 players coffee every morning and thanked them for his job. 😂 still prob beats being coached by therrian for like a decade plus though.

  15. It’s about fucking time. He should have been gone 2 years ago. In fact he should have been gone when the Habs beat them in the first round in 2021.

surprised it took this long after that press conference following game 7.

  17. Capt_Pickhard

Not at all surprising. Not saying it’s necessarily his fault, but you gotta do it.

  18. Trade Matthews. Your team obviously played better without him in the lineup. And then use that cap space to get an actually good goalie and some actually decent dmen, you know, the two things your team has lacked for basically a decade.

The expectations for this roster are simply too high in Toronto. The Bruins were favored to win this series and did so. Having to upset a team to keep your job is silly.
