The New York Islanders have been getting very good play from Anders Lee who is playing his best hockey of the season in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Lee has a point in every game against the Hurricanes. We discuss what Lee is doing better and how his line has been effective for most of the series.

Plus we break down what the Isles need to do in Game 5 to get back into the series and send it back to Long Island both strategically and on the ice.

  1. Caps first team eliminated. Swept up by rags. Caps beat isles to 17th pick of draft. Winner of this series (unlikely to be isles) plays rags next. Some guys just step up in the playoffs. Ovi is one who isn't. Guy doesn't give a fk anymore. He wont put out any effort anymore. Pathetic late in rag sweep game as ovi behind the net wouldn't even lay a hit to keep puck in. And why in the fk is there another two day gap in this series? fk you bettman and your monetizing tv $$$'s.

  2. I'm worried about the 3rd period for our isles….I'll give credit to Lee he's earned it for sure…if he could just be more consistent

  3. Hi Gil, having a ball on the ship 🚢 still up and it’s 114 am lol my wife and I getting hooked at the casino 🎰 lol today won 2 hundred but down about 3 hundred 🎉🎉 10 days on the ship and playing every night 🎉lol I heard the Islanders play Tuesday ❤ let’s go Islanders

  4. Lee is a Grinder, I’ve always said that his game is like football 1st and goal when he’s at the net, he should lead the 4 line next year, any thing could happen in sports, let’s go Islanders !!! Great show thank you Gil !

  5. Good 🌄, Gil, how are you? You're always fair, Gil, you 🤙 it the way you see it. Anders Lee is quietly getting his act together. Engvall's playing it well, and Pageau's playing well, too. The Islanders have lived up to their reputation of NEVER SAY DIE. All they've got to do is BEAT CAROLINA AT THEIR OWN GAME, ESPECIALLY IN RALEIGH. Rod Brind Amour"s right The Islanders have giving them a hard ⌚, and this series might be even if it weren't for the total 3rd period collapse in game 2. They need to get the dirty ugly goals. Patrick Roy's also got to get and keep them physically focused, and keep them focused. Also I said it before, and I'll say it again, STAY OUT OF THE JOINT. The 3 "B's" need to keep it going, too. HAPPY 🎂, MATTHEW BARON. Hear from you tomorrow, Gil, and LET'S GO ISLANDERS.

  6. You can’t just play when You want too! Lee is inconsistent and often invisible in the regular season! Unfortunately he really can’t skate well and he will only get slower! When you are making 7 mill on line 3 Lee is boosting his trade value!

  7. Rangers swept Caps and half their team was up. You see the talent. Their farm team won the Calder Cup and their coach is the youngest in the NHL. Actually Laviolette who started with the Isles…helped develop their program and was their coach once. They didn’t have the guts to bench Ovechkin who could not score and blocked most of his shots. But I guess they owe him. Point is Caps already ahead of Isles with rebuild. So frustrating.

  8. Lee moved around a lot this year. I still think we need to get him back to what he does best. There was a time Lee's net front work was mentioned in the same breath as Kreider.
Isles barely squeaked out a win. I doubt they win another. Brindamour knows the Rangers are resting and will have his guys totally motivated to close this out. I expect them to play their trap style that has confounded the Ises going back to the Trotz years. I guess the Isles did a decent job against the favorite to win the cup, but this team needs an overhaul on the ice and off the ice. Our special teams were short bus special all year long. Time to retire Yoda and his nepotism. How many assistant GM's does he need? What has Chris accomplished to warrant his current position? Let Roy assemble the staff he wants. I also feel the Goalie coaches have messed Sorokin up. I know they have been trying to teach him a less wild, more positionally sound style, but all it's done is kill his confidence.

  9. Lee has been playing strong, very hard to push off the puck,is he worth 7 mill a yr.and not scoring as often as he should, probably not. He’s a 4 mill a yr.guy.

  10. Good morning team. Gil, excellent show, as always. We live to fight another day. I have to be honest. I was really hoping to win it during the 1st OT. I was worried about our team's endurance, especially since I was assuming the 2nd OT was going to be some 4 on 4 action. I was never happier to be wrong. It was good having a little Islander fan in the house. Too bad he won't be at the house for game 5, or 6, if it goes that long. If we can, by some miracle, manage to play in a game 7, I'll definitely have him with me. We've had a pretty good record when my grandson and I watch the game together. Any one of the games played could have gone either way. Fingers crossed our playing ways, with a bit of luck, continues. Everyone, have a great day! We'll talk about game 5 tomorrow. Until then.. Let's Go Islanders!!

  11. When they have possession…they need to keep both hands on thier sticks and keep the feet moving…force them into taking the penalties

  12. 1 minute and 24 seconds, into this entire series, the NHL referees called a penalty against Anders Lee. The penalty was a very, very soft call. I often wonder if the NHL is chasing the money like the NFL. In other words, they have the officials call the game with a bias that favors the team that gets the most bets, the most followers, and generates the most money for the NHL and the surrounding vendors. I do not think that the best team in the NFL last year was the Chiefs. I hate to think that professional sports is going the way of big business and its influence on the government, but it appears that is the case. What do you think of that soft call on Anders Lee and several other soft calls against the islanders in that game and in game #2?
