Paul Stastny: ‘To honor Bobby with that fifth goal — you couldn’t write it any better’



The Blues scored five goals on the same night Bobby Plager’s no. 5 was retired. Blues winger Paul Stastny says it was a perfect tribute.

    Kinda makes me think of when the Blues scored six goals the night after Stan Musial died. Fitting tribute.

    Stastny scores, add his jersey up=8 (Barclay Plager’s number)
    Tarasenko score, subtract his 9-1=8
    Parayko scores. His jersey is 55
    And then on Stastny’s last goal, the blues’ 5th of the game, he was assisted by #55
    There was 5’s and 8’s everywhere on Bob Plager night
