Yeah it’s a lot easier watching a close up replay in slo-mo to do our at home officiating. Imagine putting on the skates and calling a game at full speed. NHL referees are incredible at what they do you can analyze every play in every sport and find problems on every play.

After you watch it a few times it really starts to just look like Letang didn’t notice the stick and tried to get it out of the way at the last second and hit it into his own face. You can see kaprisovs blade turn point towards Letang face just before Letang touches the stick which would definitely startle you.

Leteng hand facing down pushes the stick and Kaprisov resisted forcing the stick up into Letangs face. It’s why Letangs arm collapses. Look at Kirils right elbow come up preventing the lever action. This is on 97. Don’t forget to bring up Hartmans embellished double minor later in the game where he went into the locker room immediately then magically came out and kept getting confused which nostril had the pretend bleed. Refs gave that the wild a chance that they couldn’t cash in on.
