St. Louis Blues forward Kevin Hayes, defenseman Marco Scandella and head coach Craig Berube meet with the media following a 6-4 loss to the Detroit Red Wings.
Hate to see Berube go. But, I’m also a bit happy for him. He deserves better than to have to coach this – soft and/or old – mess of players that Armstrong has put together. There are only about 4 players on this team that play Berube’s style. There’s not a coach in the league who could finish over .500 with this roster.
Also, there isn’t a team in the league that could win consistently with Krug as a top 4 defenseman. Big forwards exploit his smallness on a regular basis.
Thanks for the cup Chief, none of us fans can really know what happens between you and the players but you had a great run and good luck with whatever is next.

Army has done a great job with the Blues, but this is a call I can’t get behind. Chief is the best.
