The on-ice product created by back-to-back hockey games is simply not up to the standard it should be for the NHL. One team trying to play as little hockey as possible creates terrible games.

So in Canada land Tim Hortons does this thing called Tims NHL challenge. They give you a 3 different lists of players and you pick 1 from each on who you think will score. Every time I've picked players that normally produce on days where its the back half of a back to back those players are legit ghosts. So I agree back to backs are shit and it seems like it hurts the top 6 the most.
The back to back just gives the Avs the built-in excuse for when they lose to a better LA team. I do disagree though that it's not your star players that should be carrying you through those tough games, it should be your depth guys that regularly play less minutes per night that should be the ones carrying you through if in fact depth is there.
And when the Avs smashed the Ducks 8-2 with Anaheim on a back to back it certainly didn't upset you then. You just shrugged your shoulders and went on about how deep the Avs are. with no fussing about the back to back
an average NHL player spends like what? 15 minutes on the ice per game? Why are they getting tired so easily on a back to back? I thought they were world class athletes! I never understood this .
Smh… Dude is whining, Kings are better team they're undefeated on the road and their suffocating defense is awesome to witness and they scores tons of goals.
The NHL regular season should be 60 games between September and March, and no B2B's.
NHL are morons. This isn't baseball
Its just a shame when the one fresh guy on your roster is a young defenseman (Malinski) trying to make an impression and earn an NHL spot. I think he looked pretty decent out there, problem is that its hard to isolate the good when the other 17 skaters are playing like s***. I get that they were tired, but thats one of the shortest travel days on a back-to-back you can get.
MacK needs to break that stupid habit of not backchecking. You see him do that even when hes not complaining to the ref about something. Its garbage effort from your best forward.
