Mac was BAD last night too, as bad or worse than Shattenkirk … he was scrambling all night, turnovers, not being able to clear. It was his worst game of the season IMO. Nothing better than a win over the Leafs tho! 🐻🇨🇦🚨

The first thing in complained about is how the Poitras line didn’t make sense. Talk about putting a kid in a position to fail. Also since this is a transitional year how are Lorlei and other young players not on the team?
Ngl wasn't expecting a video on the game, but I'm glad you did do a video, hoping you were wearing hearing protection, those stadiums can get extremely loud, and obviously I hope you had an amazing time at the game.
Don't feel like the usual notes are needed, since we all know the main issues with the team at this point and this is obviously a more laid back kind of review. Only things I'll say is that the B's need is a 3rd pairing RD and a top 6 winger, they have Lysell that hopefully will be ready next year or in the next 2 or so years, and whilst Lohrei will definitely be ready next year, he's moreso a replacement for Gryz on that first line with McAvoy, and finding D-men this year will be hard. Still have no idea why Poitras was put on Coyle's line, I feel like that line was set up for failure this game, same goes for the 4th line not including Beecher.
Again hope you enjoyed the game, and enjoy your time in Toronto, not many people ever even get the chance to get out of their own state let alone go to a different country. Go B's? GO B'SSSSSSSSSSSS!
I agree with you on Beecher, I think he has been very good and been great in that 4th line role
I think Geekie is solid as a complementary piece but doesn’t drive lines
Exactly what you say about this team is exactly what I think it is. It’s a fringe kinda good team that I placed about 10 games above 500 to finish the season. In saying that that’s why sending the young guys down is frustrating. Let’s see what they are and groom them.
Teams are going to catch on to our 5v6 issue and pull their goalie earlier
Great to see a video , Low Quality but do you think labeling a team a contender or not a contender changes any expectations for the playoffs? I don’t. Last year’s team was stacked but the lowly Panthers took them out .
The fix….trade for veteran fourth liner. Or coach sprouts a pair and uses three defenders two forwards to finish game last 3 mins
Beacher…I'm gonna date myself coaches like pat burns, jullian,Stan Bowman. Would use him as default center. For most of.lines in offensive zone…Puck possession is key.

I’d agree they aren’t top tier contenders but with an addition they have a chance to be. Have to be happy with this team considering the lowering of expectations due to losing their top 2 centers
Ever since the playoff series last year that shall not be named, I find myself yelling at Ullmark to GET UP all the time. It’s like once he’s down after any sort of big save or especially a scramble, he’s leaving a lot of the net wide open. Can’t completely blame him but Matthew’s late goal was into an open net.

Was anyone else expecting LowQual to be spotted on TV? I was almost certain the cameras would catch him. Would love to know what you thought about the actual vibe in the crowd at the game. ScotiaBank can get great at times and completely dead at times. How about those $25+ pints of beer??? lol. The Bruins contingent was large. I could hear them on TV.

Interesting that you said it felt quiet for a big chunk of the game, on TV it seemed like the exact opposite, I even thought we got scored on, but it was just Leafs fans getting excited

Yes. Finally you've said it. We need upgrade 3rd pair D before a scoring winger. The B's have enough skill to get by, we can score 3 or 4 goals on any given night and DeBrusk isn't even scoring how we'd expect him to yet. We can also give up 4 or 5 on any given night, and would have many more times this season than we have if not for goaltending. Defense please.
So, another game where the opposing coach said it felt like a non typical early season game. It kinda speaks to a concern I’ve had but haven’t voiced yet; the Bruins don’t have an extra gear. I think they play as hard in the regular season as they do in the playoffs. Which sounds like a good thing. But most of these teams do have more to give come playoffs, and playing this hard all season does nothing for players health, as we saw last year. Kind of concerning, I hope I’m wrong.
