First off this commentary team was awful, secondly Pelech totally causes this he knew what he was doing shoving him from behind towards the net, league has to crack down on this greaseball shit. This isn't UFC, hockey fans don't want to see their players take potentially career ending injuries. We've talked for years about getting crosschecks from behind out of the league, why doesn't the NHL finally actually just do it.
Makes me wonder when you have this much money and talent tied up with NHL players that they don't wear full face cages, after all losing a star caliber player for an extended period of time or a career ending injury will have a negative impact for the team.
I'm a Blackhawks fan so i didn't see this live, but a co worker told me about it. I am glad to hear he's ok! Watching that at full speed, holy crap that looked terrifying. If that had hit him right in the throat? Yikes
