Working their asses off……….. I watched the Oilers play the Canucks three times this year and this statement makes no sense. Does he think they worked harder than the Canucks ? Constantly I seen the Oilers make these complaining gestures because they were out muscled off the puck and took a second to bother to skate back for defense. The stars aren't leading, and the Oilers aren't sh!@ without their star players. Baby face here needs to get back to reality. Remember it was leaked they were talking about the grind and resting for the playoff run. Hahaha by the looks of it they can take an extra few months of rest while another team raises the cup.

With #97 & 29’s contracts up in the following back-to-back seasons…we don’t have the cap space to realistically keep both of them. Leon’s far more versatile, rounded & rugged…better value. Trade McD…I watched them prematurely dismantle the greatest team in NHL history, having an ‘80’s Dynasty season ticket. This time, get the proper balance in the trade, securing the future, along with our current needs. RNH also needs to go, TOO SOFT in the playoffs, totally disappearing, 3 straight post seasons. His marketability should be at its highest, after last season’s 104 point session. Darnell Nurse is another overpaid asset. Considering his contract, that’ll be a tougher challenge, but doable in the right package deal. Campbell should be thrown in the housecleaning. Legitimate, proven net-minding & Messier-like leadership, should be targeted. The blueline & quality foot soldiers, are yet another concern. That’s just a start, but all the fanboy’s & pom-pom princess’s could NEVER fathom this, including ownership & mismanagement, looking in the proverbial mirror! Parking my own fanboy dreams during my 20’s, when #99 was traded, I’ve seen it all, with this team.
Its good whats happened. It cant go on much longer. Whatever personel shakes out after this losing streak is over is gonna have to work rhere guts out and i think its gonna make for an epic run thru this season. Should still squeek in.

Every post game interview I hear them say "we're saying the right things" so who's not doing the right thing?
