Jaromir Jagr Jersey Retirement Announcement | Pittsburgh Penguins



The Penguins will raise two-time Stanley Cup Champion Jaromir Jagr’s no. 68 jersey to the rafters at PPG Paints Arena on February 18 versus the Los Angeles Kings as part of a pre-game celebration.

As part of the ‘Celebrate 68’ festivities, all fans in attendance that night will receive a replica Jagr No. 68 banner. In addition, a commemorative Jagr bobblehead has been added as a giveaway to all fans in attendance on Thursday, March 14 versus the San Jose Sharks.

    The beast of a machine just kept playing well into his 40s so they couldn't retire his number 😂. Or is that not a rule? Idk

  2. We need a photo that night of 66, 68, 71, 87, 58 all together. All their numbers will be up one day. Too bad fleury can’t be there as well.

  3. Long overdue. Love this guy. One of my favorite all time players. Only wish he could have retired in a Penguins uniform. Can't wait for this night ❤

  4. That fact that he almost signed with the Pens this season is remarkable, he could probably still outplay a bunch of NHLers today at his age

  5. I'm still hoping that when he retires from the game completely, Jagr will sign a one-day contract with the Pens and officially retire with them.
