Jonathan Huberdeau did not touch the ice in the third period during the Flames’ comeback win over the Predators on Tuesday. Sitting with two goals and six points through 12 games played this season, more is being expected from Huberdeau in Calgary. So what’s wrong with his game? TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button chimes in.

more defense in own zone transition to offense puck movement
wow
just wow
More proof that a contract can ruin a player.
Maybe the game just caught up to him, maybe he's slowed just a little bit physically and mentally. Maybe he just needs to say screw it all and go get really drunk, clear the head and play like he doesn't give a shit.
The regression is all time concerning and needs to be studied 😂
But really, this has been a long lasting slump and hasn't looked good, extending into last year. We could've blamed Suter's system or whatever but there's clearly some other major issues to address. I could start by considering the synergy with his linemates, but damn, everyone just looks off. Hoping for the best for his career
Meanwhile Calgary is on the hook to pay him 84 million over the next 8 years lol!!!
One of the worst trades in history
I feel bad for the Flames that have to pay 84 mil…I feel bad for player his game is just not good enough.
Totally different systems. Either change your system to match up with the player or don't trade (and give a mad contract to) for him.
Hes playing in Calgary thats whats wrong.
Move him to the fourth line at Center! leave him there and let him come late in the play up the middle with more speed. He will develop and get better at "C" play making skills.
Calgary thought this guy was Batman when he was clearly Robin….
“Florida got fleeced”
😏
Ship him to Anaheim for a 7th
