Hell no to Jack Campbell's contract. I think if Allen does get traded, Montreal will take back Conner Brown's contract in return for Allen. But I would want way more for Monreal like a good forward prospect to help Edmonton out.
I cant really imagine many, if any teams actually WANT Campbell at this point. I dont see how acquiring him helps the Habs development. Allen and Monty as a tandem seem to be just what the Habs young and developing players need. Obviously, Edm must have tried to trade Campbell before finally facing facts and putting him on waivers today. If Allen goes to Edm for Campbell, that is definitely a downgrade. I dont understand how a downgrade in Goal helps anybody on the Habs, regardless of the expected salary retention and other compensation the Habs might receive in a deal. It's NOT like the Habs have a solid #3 goalie to pick up the mess Campbell will most certainly leave on the ice. Primeau isnt ready, and sadly may never be ready for the NHL. And the Habs wont likely carry 3 goalies for much longer. I just dont see a "logical" fit to Campbell coming to Montreal. Trading Allen for a 2nd line RW/LW/C would make way more sense for the Habs. And seeing as the Oilers are absolutely DESPERATE to turn things around this season (they were considered to be a Cup contender this year) they might just have to overpay for any Goaltending help. But if Im the Habs GM, I just say NO to any deal involving Campbell.
Habs overmatched for two periods, made it interesting with a few meaningless goals at the end but our team looked unprepared. Slav looked awful and was partly responsible for two goals in the first, zero threat offensively also, a first round pick should be a difference maker.
Allen and Anderson not being in this game makes the final score 3-1 MTL. They are still a rebuilding team and i think we all thought they werent maintaining the 5-2-2 record. I think soon they'll fall below .500pt% because of the competition in the next few games. Red Wings, Bruins, Canucks, [Flames (Probably a W)]. Golden Knights, Bruins again, Ducks. Only 1 team they have a better season recored then currently. Two Bruins and one Knights so three games vs two top 3 teams. Vancouver, Ducks and Detriot which are super hot [Especially Vancouver] and young. Next 7 games could be 1-6-0. Thats just the highest odds. Sad to say because that would make them be 6-11-2.
I swear, if Montreal trades for Campbell (don't think they would be that STUPID!) I'm giving up, that will fuck up the rebuild.
I don't mind losing, wanna see them fall down the standings, happy to see Monahan still on fire tho, a little worried Caulfield is having a had time scoring this year
I'm really not thinking much of Caufield lately. He seems to have lost his confidence, especially shooting. Nice pass on Suzuki's goal, but he's not in position to create many chances for himself. And when he does get one he flubs it. That slap shot from 50 feet when he had a clear lane to the net?? Yikes.
They kept fighting. That's the main thing, character is coming

Forget the idea the Habs are trading for such a and contract as the Jack Cambell deal that Carrie's to much term. I am good to trade Allen only if we get an amazing young prospect. Habs do t have any goalie depth and no cap space other than the 5$M plus left of the LTIR.
It would take 2 firsts to take Campbell’s terrible contract.
Your new logo is a losers logo which will bring BAD LUCK to the HABS , the BIG OWE is and always be a white elephamt ,it is the reason for the loss of the MONTREAL EXPOS , not to mention the BILLIONS it cost Montreal in tax money , that logo makes you look like amature tourists 👎🏽🤷
