  1. This is really good instruction! I had anxiety over thinking this was going to be extremely difficult, but I was wrong.

  2. Allie ….. This is an awesome video. Thank You! I do mine pretty much like you do but when I get to the part where I am going to seperate the two hind quarters, I just use a sawzall and cut it right down the spine which seperates those two hind quarters and then I break it down from there. Are there any negtives by doing it that way? Thanks! Mark

  3. If you take the backstraps out when still warm they come out way easier and faster. It is just like the tenderloins. Might be something to try in the future for you.

  4. I totally agree with all the comments about what a great video this – one of the best ever. Ans at eighty years old, I 've seen a lot! THANK YOU!!

  5. Explained it perfectly! If I had u showing me as a kid I guarantee I’d have aced this by our next meet and butcher session lmfao. To point out u used that lil bitty knife lol most ppl use like a 5/6” flexible blade at least I do and all my buddies but it goes to show ppl that u can make it work with a lil 2/3” pocket knife. Love the fact u pointed out had the deer been a fresh kill it’ll have been a lot easier to butcher cause I was thinking it before u said and well just job well done.

  6. I don't believe in dry aging. I like my meat as fresh as possible. Why would I want old, rancid meat?
