Keep the talent, trade Campbell and Nurse if possible for some depth and goalie, get better at the transition from O to D, get that killer PP back. McDavid looks so deflated, how do you fix that?
Dude, I use to criticize your click bait titles for your videos, but ever since you laid it all on the line a few videos ago with your rant that required copious amounts of Xanex to calm you down, I have a new found of respect for your love of the team. But this video is a ridiculous non starter. The only 2 players inspiring the entire fan base and creating any value in the Oiler brand is McDavid and Draisaitl. Katz would have never had Rogers Place approved for construction if it wasn't for McDavid and Draisaitl being used as collateral to the banks and city of Edmonton that funded the Arena. Katz would never put his billion dollar pharmacy business on the line to build a $600M Arena ($300M from the city of Edmonton) for a bunch of mid level contract players. Fans screaming to trade 2 players generating hundreds of millions of dollars for Katz and the Oiler brand just don't understand the very basic concept of ROI.

In an interview prior to the heritage classic, he was asked about his experience playing outdoor hockey in Germany. He responded that he never really had a chance to experience it, but did play in a half open arena once. He went on to say, unlike kids in "Toronto" where they play outdoors all the time instead of saying " right here in edmonton" really made me think that Toronto is on the brain. Hell he bought a house out in Toronto recently. I am not sure wth is going on here, but I think a few players want out of this city right now for whatever reason. I get that we are a city in the middle of nowhere, and our fan base can be harsh critics but man we are passionate about the game, we love players who love to be here, but outside of a short few, I am getting the feeling that only a short few really like it here man.
The Nurse and Campbell contracts are crushing the Oilers. McDavid and Draisaitl get big bucks but they play up to their price. If Nurse and Campbell were being paid at a level proportional to their performance there would be a big chunk of money available to beef up the D and the bottom six. The current cap situation is just not manageable.

Just trade them both. The rest of the league wants to see them actually win something, not get eliminated in the 1st or 2nd round.
Be Cool. Why would you trade the #2 or 3 player in the world? Teams have just figured out the Oilers a bit and the Oilers are in a slump. Does it not happen to all teams? I live in Alabama and we're all ticked that Texas beat us early, but we're not calling for Saban's head. It will turn around, and my prediction is SOON. When it does, the rest of the league needs to watch out.
