All a player has to do is their System required duties…that is all anyone has ever asked of any player…it the Coaches and PLayers jobs to all learn the System , then its the Coaches job to tell the Players how to project that System and exactly what their duties are within it both as individuals and as a Group and then its on the Players to fulfill those duties to the best of their abilities. When mistakes happen its easy to delegate responsibility to the System the Player or other reasons like ice or Crowd ect ect.We must always remember that some Systems will sacrifice certain dynamics for future benefits and this could make the optics and fancy stats surrounding certain players be extremely misleading. Some players may be executing System duties perfectly but still end up with negative numbers postgame but its a System generated dynamic not one based on their lack of effort execution or performance. Darnell is having very solid year so far and he has not even warmed up yet this is going to be a Prime year for him. What a Beast. Well done Darnell. Go Oilers.

This guy needs to go along with Kane, cici, Bouchard, and get and consistent goalie that can stop pucks, and too more defencemen.
