I know it would’ve been a dick move to challenge that Sharks goal given the score, but if they did, Demmer would be riding back to back shutouts, and 8 consecutive periods without a goal.

Not gonna lie, it’s been a long long time since I’ve enjoyed Canucks hockey like I am this season.
This team is playing a consistent and sustainable game in all facets. Guys are sacrificing for each other, blocking shots, finishing checks, making smart plays. They are doing all the little things that brings wins more often than not. The PK&PP both look very good. Demko on fire.
Sure they will lose more games nobody goes 79-2-1, but it feels like even in any losses they are going to be a hard team to play against this year.
That third period was as sweaty if not more than game #2 vs. The Oilies, and the Canucks did excellent work keeping the Stars at the boards and under pressure. Then Demko was as Clutch as ever. Holy smokes

The only blemish of the night is that Flames didn’t lose. Oh well, at least that wasn’t a 3 point game.

I hope we can keep this going and become good enough to be hated again. I loved when everyone hated us a decade ago. It meant we were good.
Won the game of inches against a western powerhouse. Should help quiet some of the doubters who looked at our record and noted that our record against playoff teams had previously been a bit mid.
Demko a difference maker but unlike many of the games where we got our shit pushed in and required Demko heroics and opportunistic shooting to win, we traded punches with Dallas and gave as good as we got. Tocchet has the team playing with absolutely fantastic tempo right now. Team showed a lot of grit and pushback in a tight checking, physical game that couldn’t have been more different than the happy go lucky pond skate in San Jose.
That was fucking impressive. The Stars are a good team and played great that game and we still won. And not only that but got the shutout as well on top of it.
Well played, Canucks. You get the nod of approval.

This team is the real deal. Tonight was easily our biggest test of the year so far and we were sound in every aspect of the game. Power play had a goose egg but they have a great goalie over there too. At the end of the day we came to play in a statement game early in the year and I’m loving how we look. Keep it rollin boys!!
