  1. Slaf hasnt had the best start to his nhl career he wont be a bust but he will struggle for a few seasons to get established they definitely rushed him in the nhl a full year back home would have been a great thing to do 1 for his development and 2 for a year of contract sliding then a start in laval 20 game span see what he does is he needs work keep him in laval for the rest of the season then reassess in development camp in year 3

  2. The habs are in crisis management mode with Slaf. They realize that they f$&_ked up picking him instead of Cooley and even Wright. They wont admit it and they will not send Slaf in the AHL by fear of looking incompetent. And by fear that in the AHL Slaf gets outplayed by lower ranking players.. as was their fear when they refused that Slaf participate in the world juniors. The habs have been the worst first round pickers of the whole circuit for the last 15 years. This is why we were never able to have a stable core of players and never had truely talented forwards.

  3. There will always be haters, but Slafkovsky's biggest problem is his own fans. This reminds me of why Toronto is so bad. Shitty fans.

  4. Dobber has two basic templates for player development. For average-sized players, it will take around 200 pro games for them to hit their stride. For power forwards, they say it takes around 300 pro games.

This is why I was surprised when Montreal took Slav. They went long-game on him, and shouldn’t be expecting him to really hit his stride until some point in his draft+4 season.

In the meantime, Josh is as good a mentor figure for Slav as Montreal has in their system at the moment. Let him get his feet under him think the game better than he does now, and he should be fine.

  5. Worst skating number 1 overall ever. Poor attitude, a good game goes imediately to his head, a bad one wrecks his confidence for the next 5

  6. The Canadiens made a huge mistake rushing Slafkovsky into the NHL. In his draft year he had 10 points in 31 games in the Finnish Elite League. Not bad for a teenager, but there's no way he was NHL ready. He should have spent at least one or even two more years in Finland.

  7. Please let him get older and wiser, he need’s to learn the ropes of the NHL before he can show his game, we can see he has the resources but he does’nt know how to use them yet! Give him a break!

  8. Slafkovsky could be a bust, but there's a part of me that also thinks he could develop into another Tage Thompson. In his first five seasons Thompson had 35 points in 145 games. Then he exploded for a 38 goal 68 point season as a 23 year old. I feel Slafkovsky could do the same because both players are huge and play similar styles. Some big players need time to grow into their bodies. However that's the high end. On the low end he could turn out to be just a bigger version of Jesse Puljujarvi or Kaapo Kakko

  9. hasn't scored a goal in over 30 games, he sucks lol

hughes took this bum and reinbacher back to back 😂

  10. I 100% agree its on the habs development team.. hes looking horrible because hes not an nhl player yet. And the habs refuse to acknowledge he needs time in the ahl because that would throw doubt in the fan base that the habs might be thinking they made the wrong choice. So far nemec looks to be finding his way in the ahl. Wright is finding his game in the ahl (6gm 6pts) cooley looks like a very exciting player and even jiricek is playing better the slaf. The habs management are in an ego battle with themselves and its hurting slafkovsky. So long as hes in the nhl he will fail. 2) his linemate is anderson who by the way is off to a horrific start as well.. the dude is just bad and the habs made a horrible miscalculation to his trade value as right now they wont get a 7th rounder for him. 3) its the curse of the big body players.. slaf is 6'3-6'4 230ish lbs like a large majority of top prospects over 6'3 they take a considerable amount of time to develop compared to smaller guys. Big guys have to learn they cant plow thru players in the nhl so they have to learn new ways to adapt small guys already adapted to avoid contact do they mastered edgework and head on s swivel and shiftyness. Unless ur generational talent such as ovie matthews lemieux nash lindros to name a couple. Your more likely to adapt slower as a big player like tage thompson, kreider. In todays hockey who was the last 6'4 19 yr to score 30 or even 20

  11. Can you really make a call like that in a guys second year as a 19 year old?? Of course not- so dont feed the trolls. I love lego but if we keep clicking on these vids about lafreniere and wroght hell keep posting them. Its boycott time…

  12. I not saying he is a bust I think he should be sent down and play more a h l .

  13. Maybe where not trying to make the play offs just trying to get a good draft pick.
