Cristall and hunter should be first rounders. Late first for hunter (26-32). Cristall was an absolute steal at 40 and could’ve gone top 15-20 easy.

Maybe somewhere in the late 1st. He’s putting up historic production this season and has a well-rounded game. His injury history and overall fundamentals probably keep him from going *that* early in the first round though.
His historic production is also skewed by the fact that he’s on an absolute wagon of a team offensively, and he’s getting a lot of secondary assists that don’t really say much about his game.

I believe his production currently matches that of Brandt Clarke’s D+2 year. Could be something of the sort but the fact that a 2021 draft pick is still not a bonafide NHL player shows it’s way too early to call in on a 2023 pick

From my very brief look at historical OHL stats, some of most comparable seasons from 19 year old defencemen (for what Brzustewicz is on pace for) are Ryan Ellis, Evan Bouchard, Tony DeAngelo, and a ton of guys who never really made the jump to the NHL. It just looks like the OHL doesn’t really produce quality defencemen that often, with Bryan Berard, Ellis, and Bouchard being a couple exceptions.
