Wild to watch this team play so damn sluggish meanwhile Jost, who may not put up points like crazy but is a guarantee to work his ass off every second he’s on the ice, gets scratched.
Sabres sucking in November, Sammys hurt, defensive issues making goaltending look horrendous, and Flyers beating Goathead sabres by 4. What else is a repeat from this time last year lmao

Joke of a start. Cant come out that flat. Would be great to have the goalie make some big saves early tho. Makes a huge difference. You know when you’re playing like shit, and when the goalie isn’t bailing you out and they score 2 quick games already over mentally.
JJ is too quick to throw the puck away. Reminds me of Skinner where they are just forcing it all the time. Sometimes it works, sometimes it’s a tape to tape pass for a breakaway. For the Flyers.
They rarely do well against aggressive, hard working teams. It’s other skill teams they beat.

Good. They deserve to be embarrassed for the way the first 10 games of the season have gone. This is not the team of last year, not yet anyway. I hope they really take this loss to heart and start playing a little pissed off instead of a scared and slow.
Also, whoever on the Sabres payroll decided to have a black and red game be against the Flyers again? They shouldn’t be in charge of the jersey schedule anymore.

I think it’s safe to say (and okay to admit?) that the Flyers are just a horrible matchup. Thankfully they only see them one or two more times this season and they were able to steal a game on Wednesday.
They actually played well after the first and threatened to make it interesting but they dug too deep of a hole with an awful first and the Flyers buried the two chances they had after the first.
One game, regroup tomorrow against a team they matchup way better against.

Bryson didn’t play and look what happens.
I’ve mentioned this a couple times, but the Sabres look so SLOW compared to last year! Forecheck is slow, backcheck is slow, clogging up the neutral zone is slow… this wasn’t even the worst example of that this season, but it’s still clearly apparent.
If they don’t have speed, they don’t win battles, they don’t transition effectively in the neutral zone, they don’t find openings in the offensive zone. It’s frustrating to watch.
I’m confused why cozens looks so lost. I get he hasn’t had consistent linemates but he’s been bringing very little to many usual parts of his game.
Sabres will go 10000-0 in the goatheads. They are unstoppable on the goatherds. Slam dunk championship team if they just wear the goatheads. TBH I hope they go 1-11-1 in the goat heads this year so that segment of the fan population will STFU.
Man this game was so bad it’s almost not worth it to point out individual performances, but Owen Power played so fucking bad, easily his worst game of his career
Tuch has not been good this year. Hard to blame anything on UPL in this one, but pls stop a breakaway, he was a post away from going 0/3. Hope he doesn’t lose his confidence from this one
