The silver lining for Avs fans is that the Sharks may beat the 48 point 2016-17 Avalanche for least points.
Another random stat after that game: The Hughes brothers (Jack/Quinn/Luke) have almost twice as many points combined (41) as the entire Sharks roster (24)

Still a few historical hoops to leap through before the Sharks are officially 'the WORST Team in NHL History'. 1980-81 Jets (now Coyotes franchise), 1974-75 Washington Capitals, and the 1975-76 Kansas City Scouts (later Colorado Rockies, now NJ Devils) all spring to mind. Sharks are on pace for it, though, that much is true. A lot could happen before the end of the season: I'm thinking they should obtain advice from a ouija session with all the best hockey ghosts, and then try playing under hypnosis. Couldn't end up much worse than what they're doing now.
74-75 caps had a 30% GF% at 5v5. This Sharks team has a 17% GF% at 5v5. We could be witnessing the worst NHL team ever.

This isn’t the worst sharks team the 92-93 sharks won only 11 games
Guess what? We were worse in 92-93 while still in the cow palace and had 71 losses that season. Just saying.
