  1. This went uncalled because Liljegren initiates contact. From where Wes is in relation to this play, he can’t see Marchand’s dirty stick work. To Wes, it looks like two players jostling and one loses his footing. He can’t call a penalty just because Marchand has a history of that non-sense. I had to watch the replay a few times before I realized Marchand’s stick was intentionally thrown into the skate. This goes back to Jesse’s “they need an eye in the sky ref”. But, the Leafs, who have the benefit of tablets and replay, should have seen the hit was dirty and done anything AND Marchand should be suspended by the league.

  2. Pro: Steve returns to streaming and he has cake to enjoy later
Con: Reaves sticking a sock in his pants during the summer and not doing shit when push literally comes to shove in an actual game

  3. Islander fans used to threaten to meet him out in the parking lot. He's been a menace to hockey society forever.

  4. If we could trade Bertuzzi, I wouldnt be mad cause here are the lines I came up with

    Knies Matthews Marner
    Robertson Tavares Nylander
    Domi Holmberg Jarnkrok
    Gregor Kampf Reaves

  5. If I was the Leaf coach I would have told Reeves to hit Marchand hard enough to carry him off on a stretcher.

  6. There's no way Bergeron even gets a fine for that play because then then NHL would have to admit that Wes actually missed a call.

  7. love ya steve, but Cerberus =/= the hydra.

otherwise yeah, showmanship is inherently bad in an official/ref/umpire

  8. Preach it brother… Bertuzzi and Wes comments I feel ya 100%, also, this team has ZERO identity.

  9. Cant wait for jesse to down play all of this and act like the calm realist of the group when he’s just the third fiddle who could be replaced by whatever her name is behind the camera

  10. You can say the refs didn't call the Marchand thing but so many calls were missed on the leafs and the leafs we bailed out of a 5 on 3 so don't whine about calls when you were bailed out many times.

  11. Turkey is amazing and if you don’t think it is most likely not cooking it right or didn’t thaw it properly

  12. This was an unacceptable loss for Toronto. The Bruins were down Mac and Gryz, and despite doing well, definitely don’t have what I would consider a proven first line center. Toronto has two players who could be considered that. It is insanity that they let this opportunity slip away to prove they wouldn’t let themselves continue to be the door mats for the Atlantic’s elite teams

  13. Does liljegren's 1.4M going on ltir give the team close to enough money to call up two Marlies? One to replace him and a forward.

  14. Sreve, I have been a Penguins fan my whole life. But you have made the leafs my second favorite team. (If there is such at thing.) I think the leafs look pretty good. (But I have been watching the pens all year.) One thing I am sure leafs/pens fans have in common is our HATRED (there, I said it) for Brad Marchand. Hate that little f**ker and I hope somebody soon puts him on IR. Great post!!

  15. Did you actually say slew foot. Now you're making up stuf. Sure it was a penalty for tripping but there was no slew foot. And the leafs were certainly not outplayed like you claim. It was very entertaining back and forth hockey.

  16. "The Boston Bruins are like Cerberus! You cut off one head and three more rise in its place!!"

    That's the Hydra, Steve.
