We’re not the worst!!
From what I have read about Salary cap, if a team moves a player on ELC to the minors then upon recall to the NHL that players bonuses have to count against the Cap. In this case Slaf has $3.4M worth of potential performance bonuses, meaning that his current cap hit of $950,000 will become $4.45M upon recall. This might explain why moving Slaf to the minors does not seem to be in the Habs managements plans.
What I have noticed is Slaf plays better with Monahan on his line (who doesn't on this team?😉). If Cap considerations are indeed stopping them from sending Slaf to the 1-6-1 Laval Rocket, then I hope when Dvo returns, they put Monahan at Center on the 2nd line with Slaf.
Great show everyone. I love the insight into the Habs from all of you. Go Habs Go!
I saw it coming and said 3 months ago that the Habs were loaded and would make the playoffs. The only weakness is coaching. You need better pundits. I have been a Habs fan since 1954 and I am available.
To me if they want Josh Anderson to have a bigger impact on the team they should play him a lot more on the penalty kill.
The reason why the Canadiens have Primeau up here in the big league is because Montambault and Allen are injury prone, so they need three goalies to carry the load.
I expected them to be a bit better, still no playoffs this year, was hoping for a top 5 pick, but might be a top 10 lol.
Really solid goaltending.
A good and interesting program, thank you so much🏒🥅👍
The difference is Mohanan, last year the Habs were doing fine too, before Mohanan got injured.
If Monahan gets 82 points, we wont be able to re-sign him, he'll be asking for at least $7+ million.
Josh Anderson is definitely way overdue for a goal, it's not that he doesn't get great chances, they're just not going in for him. Let's hope both him and Slaffy will get some points against Arizona.
