The Detroit Red Wings are back on track after a gutsy win! Tune in as we discuss the game, including Lucas Raymond’s OT winner from JT Compher, Moritz Seider’s fantastic pass, Jake Walman breaking through, winning against Sorokin without Larkin or DeBrincat scoring, & a look ahead to Detroit’s Atlantic Division games against Florida and Boston (4:55).
Next, we’re joined by Prashanth Iyer of Expected by Whom to take a look at Steve Yzerman and Derek Lalonde’s squad by the numbers: Dylan Larkin’s phenomenal start, Alex DeBrincat’s impact, Lucas Raymond’s game, Jake Walman’s unappreciated play, Moritz Seider’s season, whether the Red Wings should be playing Simon Edvinsson, are playoffs realistic, & lots more (20:45)!
After that, the fiasco in Ottawa as the NHL penalized the Senators by stripping a future 1st round pick in relation to their role in the Dadonov trade mishap, Pierre Dorion being promptly fired thereafter, and Michael Andlauer’s nuclear press conference (53:40).
Also, Nicklas Backstrom stepping away from hockey after hip resurfacing surgery (& how that might affect Patrick Kane) (1:15:20) & lots more before we take your questions and comments during our Overtime segment (1:19:25) – enjoy!

Last year hands down Detroit would have folded in the 3rd, it's nice to see them burying leads and coming back in games
This year and last year, i was far more hesitant to turn off the game (when i was actually able to watch). I'm so glad they now have the pieces that allows them to stay in the game, and not give up when they go down.
The game vs Florida on November 2nd is an “If not now, When?” Game. Detroit haven’t beaten Florida since February 20, 2021. 9 consecutive losses at 0-7-2. No Ekblad, no Montour, and the game is in Detroit. If they can’t beat a vulnerable Florida Panthers at home without their top 2 defenseman, then when will they beat them again?
Love the content as always fellas. Nobody does it better
This is becomming a pattern for Perron. He has to clean up his act.
