Lightning’s Paquette hits Krug from behind, scrum ensues

Tampa Bay Lightning forward Cedric Paquette doesn’t let up on Torey Krug, hitting him into the boards and subsequently answering the bell with Boston Bruins’ Frank Vatrano.

  1. It was good on Vatrano to stick up for Krug, going after the much bigger Paquette. However, taking his legs out was not a good idea; it looked unintentional but based on the situation, it’s likely Vatrano was trying to do that on purpose.

Don’t like how Paquette kept throwing punches on Vatrano either after he was on his knees. That kind of thing will get Paquette a meeting with Chara… again.

  2. Atta boy Frankie. If Paquettes gunna try to injure krug with that bs then he got what was coming to him

  3. As dirty as the bruins play every year and they get butthurt over a love tap

  4. Krug sees a hit coming so he turns his back hoping paquette would back off rather than take/absorb the hit, what a snowflake play. Then Vatrano knees him and gets fed…Bruins never change

  5. Ok.. watch krug.. he knows paquette is coming but because he is afraid he turns.. so if a player is afraid of getting hit and turns away or ducks away, it's on the hitter to watch he doesn't hit the player who made himself vulnerable? That makes sense..

  6. These kind of cheap shots and knees wouldn’t happen if the instigator rule and 5 minute penalty for fighting weren’t in play. Enforcers should still have a place in hockey. Trust me, it’s easier for dirty players to answer to a suspension/fine rather than a beat down. Ice guardians on Netflix proves a lot of good points on both sides of the coins highly recommend it

  7. Should at least be a conversation about knee on knee vs coburn as well. Paq suspension is justified
