[Kelly] There’s only one defense pair with more than 50 minutes together at 5v5 and 0 goals scored either way……and it’s played 100 minutes. The NHL’s ultimate shutdown pair.

You damn well notice it too, glad to be validated by stats

Stupid Lou why did he trade a first round pick for a young 22 year old defenseman who could contribute immediately under cost control when he could have drafted Lian Bischel who’s currently in the AHL instead?

I was pretty skeptical about splitting up Pelech and Pulock at the beginning of the season, but between this and Dobson’s improvements (so far) I think Lane seriously cooked something here.

Meanwhile Pelech has been regressing. Pelech was a product of Pulock confirmed??
Lol joking aside, I’ve been very happy with Romanov this year

I’m not sure where these xG% are coming from but both stat trick and Moneypuck have this pair as below 45% expected goal share. Overall they are by far the best defensive NYI pair in terms of suppressing offense but they’re even worse at generating so they’re still getting caved. Raw goals for/against is a poor measure of anything especially after just ~100 minutes TOI
