I tried to find out how Willander was doing but i couldnt figure out if he was still playing 3rd pair there or if he had any PP time or PK time. Their website was insufficient.

Credit where credit’s due. Allvin’s been pretty good at filling out our disastrous prospect pool with some really good free agent scouting.
Hirose, McWard, Tolopilo, Aman and Bains were all free agent shots in the dark that have looked great so far, with Hirose, McWard, and Aman already have played NHL games and are likely going to play more this season.

Imagine if Bruzstewicz turns into the top-pair RHD we need. In that case it would kinda sting thinking we could’ve got Benson and Bruzstewicz, but also if Willander turns out as well our D will be stacked.

If we’re ever going to be a contender, we’re going to need a couple blue chip prospects to step in and immediately contribute on their ELC’s, and then a bunch of young, cheap talent to flush out our bottom of the roster.
Credit where it’s due, I can actually see a timeline where that occurs now. I can actually envision a world where we have a competitive window in two years from now.
