  1. Im a huge Leafs fan and glad its getting more coverage, but the hosts should do more studying before doing these kind of interviews.

  2. Lifelong Leafs fan. Dougie and Wendel Clark are forever my favourites, but NEVER in my lifetime have the Leafs had players (in their prime) as good as Auston, Marner and Nylander.

Love ya Auston! Thanks for the thrills!

  3. I really hope pat transitions to covering hockey the way he covers football week to week after the Super Bowl. It would be a perfect time in the season to step in, right before the playoff push… his enthusiasm for the game beats most or is on par w tnt’s crew

  4. American Hockey got better because since the 80s Canadian nhlers have played an American cities settle down and started lives and Families safe to assume a lot of them got involved with their children and coaching minor leagues so over time young kids games developed while being coached buy NHL Talent from Canada this is my personal Theory but it makes a lot of sense to me play the majority of my life from age 18 to 30 in St Louis I meet a girl from St Louis I coach my kids team

  5. Lol Matthews did not lead the league in goals last year, he was not even top ten. Just another perfect example of the espn crowd not knowing anything about hockey.

  6. I LOVE how humble hockey players are in the media… ya got morons and JAGs in other sports talking shit all the time like Micah, Antonio Brown, Paul George, Kyrie Irving and so on…. meanwhile ya got a beaut of player in the NHL here and he's humble, interesting and bright. LEARN FROM THE HIM – NFL, NBA

  7. There’s such a humble guy culture in hockey which is great but man I wish they’d let that locker room crazy banter personality out a little more occasionally

  8. McDavid led the league in goals last season. Matthews led the year prior. Details matter Pat.

  9. Hockey players in general just have a different mindset and grew up in a different culture compared to other sports. We don’t really look for/care for the celeb status like other athletes. Like some nba players seem like celebs more so than athletes if that makes sense. I’d say most hockey players love the lack of attention. You get be a millionaire without the downsides of not being able to go anywhere and not being able to live a semi normal life.
