Marcus Foligno sucker punch on Vinnie Desharnais – Have your say!
I’m not sure how Foligno was allowed to engage with Desharnais from behind the net reaching over, toss a glove off, and then take his time with a calculated bare fisted punch, and still only draw a coincidental roughing minor.
Need to look a little closer Desharnais pops Foligno first @0:04 then again @0:10 before Foligno gets a bare knuckle one in @0:11 Not really a sucker punch if your participating that much in a scrum
I think if the Ref thought it was going to escalate into gloves off, I don't think he'd have been hanging onto Desharnais the way he was. Just looked like a little face washing going on. I can also see it from the other side. I think if you are in there pushing and shoving gloves on, you have to be ready for escalation. I'm kinda on the boards on this one.
