Canucks need a big strong defensively responsible winger that can win board battles. I hear Montreal has a guy like that we could trade for named Tanner Pearson
I've always liked Garland i think he's quite effective but i also do not think he should play on the top 6, i think he's a perfect effective 3rd liner. And to add to that we are thin on wingers right now so i wouldn't trade Garland because we need him and we wouldn't get anything of value to us right now if we trade him.
Faber missed the CBJ, Andrew Peeke for Garland possibility. As for the 3rd, 4th 5th round pick component, I'm fine with it. This team needs to move forward now not stay stagnate or heaven forbid backwards. If a team like CBJ (who needs wingers and to compete now} is willing to take the full contract in exchange for Peeke and the cost is a 3rd round pick in 2026 than do it. For every million retained drops the pick down a round or 2.
Boeser wants out. Garland wants out. Peterson wants out. Any player who wants to stay is a trash bag just after the bag and gaslighting fans. No championship needed. Garbage toxic organization playing for clueless “fans”
