Obvious goaltending issues aside, you’ve got to hand it to this team’s ability to battle back and ultimately outscore their deficiencies on the back end. They dominated this game from the moment the Coyotes scored the 4th goal. I don’t think that’s a sustainable recipe for success in the long term though, so at the very least I think it’s clear we can’t really count on Copley this season. Might be best to waive him and call up Rittich to back up Talbot.

Goaltending is an issue but WE CAN SCORE lol

  4. MaxMuncyRectangleMan

Why they don’t play Vegas in Vegas tomorrow is beyond me

  5. What I love about this new era of Kings hockey is they are never out of a game.

  6. Stolthet24

Pure dominance after that first 10 minutes…you could feel they were gonna come back even when it was 4-1…

  7. Nfiniteclouds

    I told ya King’s we’re setting a trap after going down 4-1!!

  8. raymondliang

Yeah, Talbot starts every game from now on until he physically cant.

There is no doubting the offensive talent Blake has put together. Up to coaching and the players to decide if/when they want to start playing defense. Cuz if they do, there is no doubt we’re back to where we are last season at the minimum.

Ok next win let’s not do it the same way lol. The game threads are really hard to stick around for, there is soooo much negativity if something goes wrong sometimes I feel like I’ve stumbled into the Oilers game thread or something.

Let’s try the Portillo show for a game or two, eh?

What an unreal comeback! Dewy was huge in this one. Raccoon Jesus turning back the years. Talbot making some unreal stops.

We absolutely dominated the second 30 of the game. Heart and guts from this team. I like what I’m seeing!

  12. Kba4life

Wow. Best game I’ve ever seen from Byfield, more of that please!

  13. slimy_y3t_satisfying

Crazy ass comeback. Also Mullet is an embarrassment to the nhl

  14. The absolute definition of its so over, we’re so back

  15. SkateHuntFourtyTwo

Rumor has it one time Dewey jumped up on the bar top at North End and did the the helicopter.

  16. ArthurBrazil

I never stopped believing! Also, don’t check my last post.

This team needs a better goalie and we’re cup contenders, yes, but don’t you tell me we can’t compete when we fucking try. That defense was lockdown from 10 mins left in the first til the end with only a couple good shots from the Yotes with around 5 left in the third

Great to see the old guys flying like they’re 24

  18. Talbot has been pulling his weight, gotta give him his props for coming in cold and stoning the yotes after that first goal

Byfield was our best player tonight, and the points actually came through as well

Drew may never miss the net again

  19. Thumper13

Great comeback. Talbot shut it down, and the boys had incredible energy. Bit worried about goalie tomorrow night, but just enjoy this one tonight.

Bad night to be a Zonie.

  20. aluuuuna

Man, Byfield has things to work on, but watching a 6′ 5 dude going full speed on the PP into the zone must be terrifying for the defenders.

  21. Sirtopofhat

Man I really like this team. Seems like a big upgrade from last year.

  22. sophophora

What a game. This team got themselves into one hell of a hole but I never doubted they could dig themselves back out. This team’s offensive power is unlike anything we’ve seen in LA in a long time.

QB is absolutely becoming the player LA hoped for.

And tonight feels like one of Dewey’s best regular season performances.

Can’t help but feel kinda bad for Copley though, dude got absolutely hung out to dry tonight.

  23. Bally sports really needs to fix this bullshit with the post game show. You can’t watch the post game show until like 20 minutes after it starts.

  24. ItsVibrant16

I love this team. Great fuckin game boys, way to fight back

  25. Edmuresay

Gatta love the character. They came out slow again and it almost cost them, but they really played an excellent game after that 4th goal. Byfield looked great in this one. Maybe his best game as a pro… dude was very good tonight. Kempe was also flying out there for most of the game. Very noticable.

Talbot really played an outstanding game as well, obviously. Impressive stuff from him. Hoping Copley’s head is right, but something to keep an eye on. He was hung out to dry a bit, but that’s a tough showing all the same. Always take the 2. GKG!

  26. BlandBenny89

Give Talbot some fucking credit here boys. He was called on to come in to a game where our D was fully asleep and stood tall to help deliver us a fantastic comeback win. The fact that our D let Durzi style on Talbot like Bobby Orr immediately after he came in the game and it didn’t faze him was awesome. Talbot has been nothing but solid for us so far. Unfortunately Copley was hung out to dry tonight by our defensive efforts to start the game but it was awesome to see the boys knuckle up and mount the comeback. We just have to figure out these sleepwalking starts and we’ll be solid.

While there are still obvious glaring issues that need to be worked out, and it’s still only october, this win specifically was absolutely massive. Not only cuz they play vegas tomorrow, but with teams like edmonton, calgary, and seattle all struggling, being at 4-2-1 is already putting themselves at a 4-5 point cushion early which is nice

  28. DognamedArnie

I don’t care if this was against the Coyotes, this game fucking mattered. Doing this early in the season is huge. This team proved they have faith in themselves. This was stressful, and fun to watch, but I’m happy that the got tested to this capacity early. Huge confidence booster early in the season. Vegas is a huge test tomorrow. LETS FUCKING GO!
