That amount of games seems crazy especially if there’s no evidence he bet on NHL games… unless it was proxy betting on NHL games? And yeah, it’s even more ridiculous with all the sports gambling ads in hockey lol
But didn't Evander Kane do the same thing? He didn't get suspended 41 games, but he did gamble.
So why is he getting suspended for doing something that’s perfectly legal? Even if he bet on NHL games, he’s not an active player at the moment.
All this and yet advertising for sports betting are literally shoved down our throats everytime i watch a game. These advertisements should be illegal due to the fact they clearly have no consideration for the young audiences and how simple it is for any minor to set up an account and start betting.
Get em while their young, Get em for life.

Funny that gambling gets you 41 games, but ending another player's career is only 1 game. Yet, the NHL is promoting sports betting.

Getting into bed with sports gambling (i.e. organized "legalized" crime) has made the NHL a lot of money. It's sad that it has become so ubiquitous since going mainstream, and this young player getting caught up in it is probably a predictable consequence.

The NHL is prostituting itself to these gambling companies. These podcasts are part of the problem taking the ad money. Shame on all of you.
Given a 41-game ban, I think Pinto made a sportsaction bet on the Sens but he wasn't part of the team that played that game. No, Pinto doesn't OWE his team anything and doesn't have to feel obligated to sign some bargain bin deal just to pay them back…
