All I’m saying is a loss at home to the Caps 6 games into the season is just following the script. Heater inbound next?

Obviously it’s just a funny coincidence the schedule worked out this way and the Devils also gave up 6 to the Caps last year almost to the day with a just about identical record.

BUT WHAT IF IT ISN’T and the NHL script writers just copied their paper from last year but changed a couple dates and teams around so the teacher wouldn’t notice?

Heater inbound confirmed. Doomers can go and root for the rags

  2. 6 games and 6 goals against…. Heater confirmed

  3. Playing defense again would be a tonic.

Hamilton can’t play this soft. I don’t need him to be #4 out there but set an example that “yes I am defenseman and I will body check you”. He’s big enough to be a factor physically and his offensive gifts don’t change the fact that his lack of toughness bothers me.

Same with Marino and Siegs. You’re there to play defense. Everybody wants to get in on the Jack Show (1/2 kidding) but just let him cook and do your primary job better.

But it’s also a team issue totally. It’s just disjointed. They want to get down the ice so fast they leave the barn door open. And before all that, they cannot jump on an opponent early. Always playing down early and that’s losers hockey. Winning teams establish the way the game is going to be played early and they don’t relent that authority. It reeks of arrogance to play like this, like ok now we’re losing, let’s play some hockey. Fuck that. This devils team truly wants to be great? Then they got to sacrifice and win the games like this 5-1. If they would have played with some pace and intensity at puck drop they could have blown this slow team off the ice.

Last, I know every fan of every team says this but we have shit luck against untested goalies.
