Ending the streak took all of the mystery and legacy of the undertaker. IMO.
This is too short, need more or Vince here, edge of seat
In what world is a pro wrestler a "competitor"?
1:14 Vince it’s not the roster.there were plenty of great talent in 2014 that can work with undertaker and probably have a great match with the Undertaker. Brock is great don’t get wrong but Brock didn’t need the streak because he’s already achieved so much.
I never understood y vince had lesnar break the streak the guy was already one of their biggest stars sits on top. If vince was going to have a well established and successful wrestler it should of been kane.
Whether the streak should have been broken at that point in time is up for debate. But the idea that fans would naturally see the person who broke the streak as a big deal is wrong. The guy would be hated for life. Lesnar is the only one who could have done it convincingly. Or else, it should have been a retirement match with a proper storyline, against Cena.
I stand by the statement if it wasn't hbk, if I wasn't hhh then it shouldn't have ended. For the simple fact. I don't think that its of those things that could have been used to put someone over. Think about it. No one wants random ending the streak and no one wants the streak to end. So the logical choices were either shawn, hunter, or keep the streak intact.
Giving it to Brock was so pointless, he was already over… Vince's story is so dumb.
Wwe waste undertaker's streak
Stone Cold found the Goddamn Fountain of youth,
I would have liked The heartbreak kid end the Undertaker's reign.,
I stop 🛑 watching wwe after that worse decision ever
I still feel like breaking the streak was a mistake. Taker should've take the streak into the Hall of Fame. If they felt to break it, than Lesnar was the wrong guy to do it. Should've been Orton at Mania 21 or Edge at Mania 24! I always wonder they put Reigns against Taker at Mania 33, when beating was no longer a big thing. Cena VS Taker was years to late, they should've done that 2008 til 2011. Could've been one of the biggest money Matches
Wwe died with the streak
What the hell is Vince talking about "giving back to the business " they already give everything for that company..this logic needs to die with Vince..this thinking makes no sense at all..that streak should have stayed intact
Giving back to the business, would be Undertaker actually keeping his streak, Vince. Ever thought of THAT, homie?!??
Austin having a civilized discussion with Vince 😂
I was never able to buy the paper view but I was allways on the internet trying to find out what happened at wrestlemania . Just to see if the streak was still alive. When I found out he lost it to Brock I couldn't believe it. After that I really quit checking on wrestlemania after that. I mostly was just checking the streak was still alive. And they ruined that for me. Still kept watching wresting though .
Dumbest decision Vince ever made. Literally will never be an opportunity to create something so magical & epic as Undertakers streak. That was a once in a lifetime opportunity & he squandered it on Brock Lesnar. Undertaker should have retired undefeated at Wrestlemania. He gave his entire career to WWE.
Brock was already a made-man. He did not need the streak. The Streak should only be given to someone who's on the cusp of realising his potential. Brock had realised his potential long before this.
The streak should have either gone to Roman Reigns or CM Punk. Because they needed it more. Also Punk gave Taker a much better match than Brock did. Just my opinion
What about Roman Reigns?
I bet breaking the streak is the most embarassing decision vince took… And he seems to be regretting about it
That was very bad decision cuz people lost interest any more in wrestling look now ufc is grow up people doesn’t care about wwe.
Should’ve been a retirement match, built up the story of the Undertaker against corporate. A living god versus men. Where if he was to win he must be forced into retirement if he were to lose he be damned to wrestle for eternity. That way it’s a bitter sweet win. The fans get the streak but we also lose a god amongst men. That way it gives WWE to build up a story of other wrestlers trying to beat the streak of the legend himself. Undertaker goes down in history and they get a story to continue for wrestle mania.
Either Roman or no one should have broken it. Roman beat Taker anyways, but since he wasn't the first to beat him and not the one to retire him his victory was basically meaningless.
So either him or no one.
Vince was talking about Stone Cold when he said what he said about the undertaker giving back to the business because Stone Cold refused to put someone over and left WWE in 2002
BROCK DIDNT NEED IT
He made it look like the Streak was never The Undertaker’s it was Vince’s. And it was
Brock is a freak of nature, a former UFC Heavyweight champion. He didn't need the streak to make him a star
It should have been Cena or Punk
It should have been Wyatt. Feed Cena to Brock at WM30 and run Taker/Wyatt, have Wyatt win and pass the torch.
I hate that it was brock as much as the rest of yall but your slow of you think it shouldntve ended 😭
Man I remember watching him go 15-0, at WrestleMania 23 I think. No one thought the streak was ever gonna end. I like Brock as a person and to some degree as a professional wrestler, but they never should've made him the one to beat taker. Imagine Lesnar beating Goldberg at WrestleMania, or at any event for that matter. If you get a big pop from the crowd and are physically in tip top shape, especially if you have the seniority, you own the ring. At the end of the day, the fans decide, and Vince didn't let them decide this time.
Kind of makes me sad they openly talk about wrestling being fake now. We’ve come a long ways from the Attitude Era
I just realized Vince has HUGE ears!
Proceeds to beat Vince senselessly with a bed pan when they go off the air
I stopped watching after that streak. Take that Vince. WM sucks after that. FAILURE
All fixed actually
Nah brock wouldnt stay if he didnt win.
HHH with hbk and five wrestlmania matches in a row of back story didnt end it why would baby brock
Streak should never have ended.
no one will come close to being 21-0 in history
Strange people blame vince for breaking streak when he himself decided to make it 21-0 at first place all those years. Also undertaker even in his prime had no chance against any brock version in real fight. Just made no sense for brock to loose against him. If you didn't want to end streak they shouldn't have arranged this match in first place.
Plz upload full interview
Love how Vince couldn’t even accept how he was wrong “Oh at the time this Brock was the only guy” “At that time” “Mark said who else is gonna do it” which is a straight up lie as even Taker even admitted himself he didn’t wanna give it to Brock
Come on, dude.
Let's all be honest, if someone have privilege to break the streak it should be brock. They can't give to roman or cena ffs, they dont have enough persona to be someone who beat taker. And the only close call probably braun, if they really want to push him.
Stupid decision. And it's all because Brock is a cry baby, whiney little diva. Cant wait for him to leave wrestling forever. Hes just an annoying person and now he's a wannabe farm boy. Cant stand rich people like him and his dinosaur wife.
“After the third F5, or whatever it’s called” – Love how Stone scold threw a shot at Lesnar there. Lesnar is a hack.
Brock didn’t help being a star man. What is Vince talking about? Brock was already a star for 10 plus years.
