If Ottawa did some due diligence before they traded for him, they would’ve found out that he didn’t want to be in Ottawa to begin with. Like Alex didn’t wanna leave Chicago and they unexpectedly traded him to Ottawa. But that’s apart of business I suppose. I know Chicago wasn’t gonna make a trade with Detroit but still. At least Ottawa got a decent return
Dont think he wouldnt have been booed if he didnt make all those dumb comments to the Detroit media about being lazy I think most understand the decision of family and that Dorion didnt even give him a heads up about how he would feel about coming to Ottawa

I have a #request for compilation videos this season! First, a collection of all first time NHL goals for the rookies and players brought up from the farm teams. No true hockey fan could ever get mad at a kid scoring their first goal even on the opposing team.
Second one I’m requesting is a Swayman and Ullmark goalie hug compilation, because for some reason there’s a lack of one?? It’s a wholesome tradition. But if there’s just too many to put in a video then pick particularly fun or meaningful hugs.
