On when McDavid is back… it's encouraging to me that they put him at 1-2 weeks. Technically, at least one week does have him out for the Classic, but I think if they were sure he wasn't going to make it, they might have said he'd be out longer to prevent speculation from adding a new layer of disappointment. 1-2 weeks sounds like maybe he'll be ready to go faster than expected.
Something that's been bothering me recently is that 5 games in, we only have 5 left before Brown gets his performance bonuses. I definitely didn't take to heart enough that he would need a longer runway, but with how he's been playing, that $4m just feels worse and worse. Foegele and Holloway are both going to need raises next year. Do you think there's any chance that he gets sent down to Bakersfield soon? It would extend his runway, give the Oilers a few games left to see how he plays after calling him back up, and I don't really see anyone taking his contract on waivers. Thoughts?
If McD is out for the wild and rangers, and Kane is still being a baby, you can chalk up 2 more losses for us if the rest of the team doesn't start meshing…
If he isn’t LTIR, they should do a gentleman’s agreement and have him our for pick drop and then on the bench. It’s a win for everyone if he doesn’t show up for promo and pictures it’ll affect ad revenue and ticket sales. It’s a really big lose for everyone including their salaries which are linked to revenue.

Jack Hughes is playing great as are the Devils but everything in this league has been crazy. Up and down with a lot of unexpected teams doing well. Bedard was expected to dominate yet is off to a slow start given all the hype surrounding him and expectations. The only club dominating is Gary Buttman’s children Vegas Golden McNuggets or Nuts. 😂. I think the Heritage Classic meant a lot to him (McDavid) but his health is more important now. He will be back in top form dominating again.
